The Kori Trek, also called Kori Danda or Kapuche Lake Trek, is an amazing adventure in the beautiful landscapes of Gandaki Province’s Kaski district. This trek has become more popular lately. It involves camping and takes place northeast of Pokhara valley, quite close to the lovely city of Pokhara. It leads you through the Annapurna conservation area, where you can enjoy splendid views of Annapurna South (7219m), Fish Tail (6997m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Lamjung Himal 6983 m
The trek begins with a visit to well-known cultural and historical sites in Kathmandu. After that, there will be a drive to Pokhara and Sikles, a village renowned for its Gurung culture. The Gurung are indigenous people of this locality are well-known for their bravery, lively celebrations, special language, and rich culture, contributing to Nepal’s diverse heritage. The trek passes through Hugu Goth and Kapuche Glacier Lake, then continues to Nohtha, crossing diverse forests and reaching viewpoints such as Kori Danda and Thulek (4,115m), before returning to Pokhara to conclude the trek.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu 1338 m / 4394 Ft. (Pick up from Airport to Hotel)

Day 02: Historical and Cultural Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Explore the historic and religious sites in Kathmandu Valley with our professional tour guide. With the guidance of our tour guide you can visit Pashupatinath, a famous Hindu temple situated in the bank of Bagmati river, Boudhanath Stupa, a large Buddhist pilgrimage site, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, boasting ancient buildings and temples. Swayambhunath, known as the Monkey Temple, offers serene views. These age-old places showcase Nepal’s history and beliefs, attracting visitors with their rich heritage.
Day 03: Drive/Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822 m/ 2696 Ft)
Traveling from Kathmandu to Pokhara gives you two options. You can take an 8–9-hour road trip, seeing Nepal’s varied landscapes from busy city life to riverside areas and small hills. Or, you can choose a quick 25–30-minute flight that flies over the Himalayas, giving you fantastic views of Ganesh Himal, Manasalu, Annapurna Range and swiftly takes you between the two cities.
Day 04: Pokhara to Sikles and explore Gurung Village (1981 m/6503 Ft) 4 hours’ Drive.
Get ready for an exciting off-road trip that lasts around 4-5 hours, heading to the beautiful Sikles village. Sikles village is surrounded by beautiful tall mountains, making it look really pretty. Seeing those mountains from Sikles makes everyone super excited about the Kori Trek that’s coming up. It’s going to be an amazing adventure in such a beautiful place.
Day 05: Trek to Hugu Goth (2860 m/9383 Ft) 6 hours.
Trek will start after breakfast. Along the way to Hugu Goth, you’ll see amazing mountains, rivers, and pretty waterfalls. Beautiful waterfall on the path to Hugu Goth, it makes the trek even more beautiful.
Day 06: Hike Up to Kapuche Glacier Lake (3210 m/ 10531 Ft) and Back to Hugu Goth.
Walking from Hugu Goth to Kapuche Glacier Lake is a tough but good walk in the Himalayas of Nepal. It goes through forests and streams, climbing up to the glacier. The views of the glacier and mountains are amazing! The walk takes about 4-5 hours and has steep parts. It’s a great choice if you like challenging hikes in the Himalayas.
Day 07: Trek Nho-Ta (3050 m/10006) 6 hours
The trek from Hugu Goth to Nho-ta starts by going slightly down and the way is horizontal to Nho-ta. Along the way, you’ll see local life, traditional Gurung houses, and beautiful views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. The trek takes about 5-6 hours and is tough but enjoyable, showing you the Himalayan beauty and local culture.
Day 08: Trek to Kori Danda (3800 m/12467 Ft) 6 hours.
The trail from Nho-Ta to Kori Danda goes gradually ascending up to Kori Danda. Kori Danda has a magnificent green pasture land where hundreds of sheep graze.
Day 09: Kori Exploration and Hike to Thulek (4115 m/ 13,501 Ft) 2 hours.
Explore Kori Danda take pictures, video and enjoy the peaceful Himalayan environment. Then hike up to Thulek Hill for more views. You can reach to Tulek Hill in 2 hours if you walk in slow rhythm.
Day 10: Trek from Kori Danda to Sikles (1981 m /6503 Ft) 7 hours. (Accommodation Tea House)
The trek routes go descending downhill to Tangting (1580 m/ 5511 Ft) then the trail goes slightly ascending upto Sikles.
Day 11: Drive Back to Pokhara from Sikles (822 m/2696 Ft) 4 hours.
Going back to Pokhara takes approximately 4-hour drive. During staying in Pokhara, there are a lot to do like yoga, spa, exciting bungee jumping, calm boating, and many more activities that you can choose to enjoy.
Day 12: Drive/Fly Back to Kathmandu from Pokhara (1338 m / 4394 Ft.)
The journey back from Pokhara to Kathmandu offers two options. You can travel on road trip or, you can choose a flight, depending on your preference and convenience.
Day 13: Departure to the Airport.
The friendly team of Himalayan Footprint Adventure will drop back to the airport. They’ll be there with you, helping out and making sure everything goes smoothly as you leave Nepal and head back home.
